Iraqi Groups Launch Twenty-One Attacks on US Bases

(MENAFN) A coalition of Iraqi factions reported carrying out 21 attacks on US military bases across Iraq and the wider region within the last 24 hours, according to a statement from the group known as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.

The statement indicated that the assaults involved the use of drones and rockets, though it did not provide further specifics.

Regional tensions have intensified since joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran began on February 28, resulting in more than 1,300 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US forces, inflicting casualties and infrastructure damage while disrupting global markets and aviation, according to reports.
